Open Innovation is simply the idea that companies, by looking outside their boundaries, can gain better access to ideas, knowledge and technology.

The Innovation Advisory Service (IAS) is designed to help ambitious growth companies in the South East to identify what to do, how to do it and to gain access to resources and funding. The IAS acts as a catalyst for growth for its clients supporting them in their efforts to gain strategic competitive advantage, and hence long-term profitability, by adopting aspects of Open Innovation.

IAS has a team of highly experienced director level advisors who all have both general commercial and specific sectoral technical expertise.

IAS is funded by the South East England Regional Development Agency (SEEDA) and managed by Oxford Innovation along with an experienced partnership of the National Physical Laboratory and CLIK (the technology transfer arm of the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory).
