The Awards are free and straightforward for companies to enter.
Entries must include:
- A completed entry form,
- An opening statement, maximum of 500 words summarising your achievements with particular emphasis on the criteria for individual categories,
- A copy of the companies last set of annual accounts or financial statement.
Additional supporting information may be included:
- Main priorities within the Business Plan – Projections, Aims and Growth
- Photos, press cuttings, product samples, and
- Any other supporting information, which would be relevant to support the company’s entry

All information that is included within an application will remain confidential and will only be available to judges and for administration purposes.
The closing Date for all applications is Monday 28th September 2009.
What the judges are looking for
In all categories the judges will be looking for evidence that you have:
- Implemented an innovative product or process which has enabled significant business growth or commercial potential during the last 2 years
- Delivered on, and exceeded, your original business plan
- A clear and compelling vision with plans to expand your business over the next 2 years (details of plans and how this will be achieved should be included)
- In operation or incorporation for at least 1 year (entrants must be able to provide evidence of what they have achieved over the last 12 months)
Workshop
A workshop was be held to support companies and/or entrepreneurs with skills training and advice on presenting and communicating their success to a wider audience. Assistance for the Award applications was also available.

The Judging Process
Three finalists for each category will be invited to make a presentation at the Awards evening to the judging panel.
All finalists must agree to prepare and present a three minute presentation at the Awards evening as part of their application.
The judges will base the final decision on the application and presentation combined.
