Expansion of Partner Electronics heralds move to Silverstone Innovation Centre

Partner Electronics Ltd, an innovative electronic design services company which provides support to engineering teams on business development projects, has moved into office premises at Silverstone Innovation Centre.

The move follows a period of increased activity and expansion for Partner Electronics over the last three months that has seen the Company win a number of significant contracts with major clients that range from a leading global provider of fibre optic sensors to a manufacturer of infra red devices and a leading supplier of sophisticated navigation and process tracking devices. The new premises at Silverstone Innovation Centre will provide space for further expansion as Partner Electronics recruits additional engineers to complement its highly-skilled team.

Development projects undertaken by engineering teams typically require input from engineering staff with a variety of specialist skills and encompass periods of intense effort and other times when a lower level of resources is required. However, as engineering teams have become ever leaner they have found it more difficult to provide this variable flow of skills and effort.

Partner Electronics works with client engineering teams to provide a flexible and cost-effective solution for the resourcing of major engineering projects. The Company aims to supply the right people at the right time, eliminating the risk of bottlenecks and delays and ensuring that project managers retain flexibility and control over the delivery of projects.

The engineers working for Partner Electronics combine a broad range of electronics expertise, covering both hardware and software, with experience of having worked on projects right through the project life cycle.

Richard Rydon, Co-founder and Technical Director of Partner Electronics, commented: “We are delighted to be re-locating to Silverstone Innovation Centre. This is an exciting time for Partner Electronics as we continue to expand and Silverstone Innovation Centre is an excellent location that will support our work with existing customers and enable us to develop our work in the automotive and motorsport sector.

“We are sure that our team will benefit from the professional modern working environment here and the flexibility of Silverstone Innovation Centre also allows us to take on more office space as we grow our business.”

Dianne Wilson, Manager of Silverstone Innovation Centre, said: “We are pleased to welcome Partner Electronics to Silverstone Innovation Centre. They join a thriving community of 27 growing companies from within the motorsport and advanced engineering industry who have chosen to locate here. Our overall occupancy rate now stands at 87% and a further 15 companies use our virtual office service.

“We aim to foster the growth of these companies who are leading the way in technological and service innovation for the motorsport and engineering industry. As well as providing a range of offices on flexible terms, we also offer a range of value-added services that include access to finance from private investors, the provision of practical business advice and the opportunity to attend regular networking events.”

Silverstone Innovation Centre is a joint venture between British Racing Drivers Club and the East Midlands Development Agency and is managed by Oxford Innovation, the UK’s leading operator of innovation centres.

L-R: Richard Rydon (Co-founder and Technical Director of Partner Electronics) accepts the keys to his company’s new office from Dianne Wilson (Manager of Silverstone Innovation Centre). Partner Electronics is the latest company to move to Silverstone Innovation Centre.
